When the cares of my
heart are many,
Your consolations cheer
my soul.
Ps. 94:19
Oh, to think that He knows the many cares of my heart and sends help and consolation through His Word and His people. He is so intimately acquainted with every difficulty and knows just how to meet each need. What a blessing of the very sweetest kind. In His providence, He may not remove the difficulties, but He will help me carry them and cheer my heart all the while with His unfailing love and grace.
Dear perennial heart, bloom with joy
and cling to the consoling Word of God,
even when cares are many.
and cling to the consoling Word of God,
even when cares are many.
Dear Perennial Hearts, Heather made me aware of your blog and I have enjoyed reading it. One of your comments brought to mind the last service of Rog and Heather's at CCBC in Denver. Heather sang and you played your Dad and mine's very favorite song .... His Eye Is On The Sparrow (and I KNOW HE watches ME.)
ReplyDeleteSo good to see the picture of you and Paul ... it is a good one. We (Sharon and I) pray for you, Paul and your family daily. One of these days when things slow down for you, could you please send us a family picture? Thank you!! Am praying that Paul's physicians accurately diagnose the problem and get him on the road to recovery. (Perhaps the "Pills" episode) is God's way of telling you all that everything will be OK. I just got an arrangement of a song that I had never heard before from the Pastor's wife, Dena, who was playing for a brother, sister duet whom she had introduced the song to also. It was so simple .. written by Bennie S. Triplett and is called "How about your Heart?". It was simple, but neat and got the music from her, and also looked it up on the internet. It's great .. "How about your heart? Is it right with God? That's the thing that counts today. Is it black by sin? Is it pure with-in? Could you ask Christ in to stay? CHORUS: People often see you as you are out-side. Jesus really knows you, for He sees in-side. How about your heart? Is it right with God? That's the thing that counts to-day. (and then there is a second verse. Look it up on the internet and listen to it and download the lyrics and music. It's a simple, great, old song that I had never heard before.
Love you Heidi, Paul and children,
Praying for you, Ron and Sharon Smith email:ronsharon2@frontier.com
Ron, What a blessing to hear from you! Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. Thank you also for the prayers. (I think I might remember that song from my growing-up years!) I hope I will see you again sometime, and I will try to send a picture when things slow down! Love to you and Sharon, Heidi
